Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan Taliya Minullina, as part of the members of the Government of Tatarstan, took part in a plenary discussion on the activities of the international system of chambers of commerce and industry. The event was held within the framework of the XII International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit 2021" at the Kazan Expo site.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tatarstan is a large and authoritative business community of the republic, which has more than 2 thousand members. During the pandemic, the chamber proved to be an effective tool for supporting business, once again demonstrated the importance of interaction between the authorities and this institution, the President of the Republic noted in his speech.

The event was attended by Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia Vladimir Padalko, Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan Shamil Ageev, Secretary General of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) Yusef Hasan Halavi, President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Trade Exchanges of Turkey Rifat Hisarcıklyoglu and heads of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry a number of countries.

The participants in the discussion spoke about the activities of their chambers of commerce and industry, their experience of interacting with business, the development of new measures to support entrepreneurs during the coronavirus pandemic, as well as the ongoing work to resume business contacts.

The next session, which was attended by the head of the Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, was the plenary session of the Caspian International North-South Integration Club.

The Caspian region is the intersection of the main Eurasian transport corridors, a kind of bridge from Europe to Asia, through which trade and economic relations of Russia are carried out. One of the most important corridors is the North-South.

Tatarstan has its own developed industrial and transport infrastructure. We also have a favorable economic and geographical position, which allows us to occupy a nodal niche in the system of transcontinental transport corridors. We have an extensive transport network that includes all types of land, air and water transport. This idea was expressed by the President of Tatarstan at the plenary session.

Thus, within the framework of the international transport corridor "Europe - Western China", the construction of the M-12 highway is underway. Sviyazhsky interregional multimodal logistics terminal in the future is able to become the core of the transport and logistics system for the transportation of goods in the Volga region. And in 2019, on the basis of the Kazan international airport, they began to create a transport hub for organizing air cargo transportation from Europe and Asia.

The SberTalk session, organized in the Sberbank business communication zone, has already become traditional within the framework of the international economic summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit". The session was also attended by the head of the Investment Development Agency of Tatarstan Taliya Minullina.

The central topic of the conversation this year was the ESG transformation of regions. ESG is a specific set of principles and approaches in the field of social, environmental and managerial responsibility, which, along with the usual economic parameters, must be taken into account in the planning and activities of any company.

Tatarstan cooperates with the world's leading brands that are implementing ESG. For example, the Coca Cola company implements environmental projects in the republic. Ak Bars Bank promotes the principles of sustainable development in Tatarstan through the support of social projects. Ak Bars Insurance is the first insurance company in Russia to receive an ESG rating.

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan noted that Tatarstan aims to work closely with Sberbank, as one of the locomotives for introducing the latest trends, including in the field of ESG.
