The Republic of Tatarstan and the Omsk Region have signed an Agreement on Cooperation in the economic, cultural, social and other spheres. A new vector for the development of interregional relations was set during the visit of the Omsk Region’s Governor, Alexander Burkov, to Kazan.

First of all, the government delegation visited the Unified Presentation Center of Tatarstan located in the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency. The partners were presented with the current economic numbers, promising areas for cooperation, and the specifics of doing business in Tatarstan; they were told about the work on the creation of the labor lease exchange.

Tatarstan is an industrial region. The leading sectors of economy are the oil production and oil refining. The resources and products of the republic are widely known abroad. 155 countries are the trading partners.

The Omsk Region is a strategic Russian partner of Tatarstan. The volume of mutual trade reached about 4 billion rubles.

“The Republic of Tatarstan is our main partner in the Volga Federal District. We have a lot in common. Petrochemistry, machine manufacturing, agriculture and food production are well developed in our regions. The Agreement on Cooperation we have signed opens up a large ground for us to work together,” said Alexander Burkov.
