Crimean managers learn how Tatarstan attracts investment

TIDA Chief Executive Taliya Minullina to the "students" of the Institute of Economics, Management and Law - our colleagues from the Republic of Crimea gave a lecture on how the Republic of Tatarstan attracts the investment.
A group of Crimea residents (50 employees of state and local government, business and community representatives) study in the Kazan University. The special education program on "State and municipal management" is being implemented with the support of the leader of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
Lecture "Mechanisms for attracting investment in the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan" aroused great interest in the classroom. Member of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan in detail told the audience about the history of the investment success of Tatarstan, including the objects of investment infrastructure, modern legislation and support mechanisms for investment projects on the principle of "one window".
In particular, TIDA Chief Executive noted that a specialized body to attract investment, support of investment projects - Tatarstan Investment Development Agency was created in 2011 on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. "The decision was made after a study of the best international practices in this sphere", - said TIDA Chief Executive.
After the introductory speech Taliya Minullina proposed to move on active dialogue. The audience responded with a variety of questions, including topics such as the experience of public-private partnership in the Republic of Tatarstan, the requirements for private investors, the benefits, municipal programs, the priority areas for investment and the search for potential investors, the positive experience of attracting foreign, federal, regional investment.
After answering questions a member of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan underscored that Tatarstan is traditionally one of the leaders among the regions of the Russian Federation on the key indicators of social and economic development. However, as she underscored, Tatarstan is constantly learning and improving, including using the international experience, and willing to share its unique experience with other regions of the Russian Federation.
