Big data – great experience: from the Republic of Tatarstan to the Republic of Crimea

7 October 2019, Monday

The Crimean delegation headed by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk arrived in Kazan today. Traditionally, the way to the negotiating table for building cooperation was through the Unified Presentation Center of the Republic of Tatarstan, where the full effect of immersion into each branch of economy of the region is created.

The results of the dialogue have been fixed at the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov.

“I believe that the successes of Tatarstan, to a great extent, are contingent upon the fact that our President Rustam Minnikhanov has managed to create a complementary team. According to statistics on foreign investment, we attract from one and a half to two million dollars a day. The investments come to us not only from abroad, but from the Russian regions as well, not limited to Moscow and St. Petersburg,” said Taliya Minullina, the Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, in her welcoming speech.

The programs important for the country's economic prosperity, including as illustrated by the Republican Marketing Center, were presented by Yakov Geller, Director General of the Agency for Government Order of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The entrepreneur must find a market and create the product that is in demand. At the level of the Government of Tatarstan, this principle is basic; the platforms are created for promoting products on the Russian and world markets and for creating cooperative ties.

“I think this is a very good example of working with big data – the principle of collecting and processing information from the immense amount of analytical data that we all actually have today. In Tatarstan, there is a public services portal where every citizen of the republic is registered. Now, everything is going digital, therefore it seems logical and understandable,” added Taliya Minullina.

In turn, the guests thanked for the warm and helpful hospitality and expressed hope for further cooperation of regions.

“We will ask your leader to come to us as soon as possible. We feel that we need your help, namely the experience of the work that you are doing. Thank you!” stressed Yuri Gotsanyuk.
