Cluster Activation

One of the priorities of the Strategy is to create a new efficient economy based on knowledge, the development of innovation and high-tech sectors of the economy.

A key mechanism for the transition to an innovation economy will be cluster activation. In developed countries within the clusters formed more than 50% of the economy and more than 40% of the employed labor force.

There the division of the economy into 3 main cluster: this is key clusters (for example, science and education), innovative - a "smart" economy ("smart" information technology, "smart" infrastructure and other) and the modern economy (agro-industrial and petrochemical complex, wood processing, automotive and other).

The Strategy focuses on 10 innovative clusters, which are combined into a single project "Tatarstan Technology Initiative" and designed to be the basis of the new economy.

Synergy of three Tatarstan agglomerations

One of the key objectives of the Strategy is to ensure a close relationship of three separate agglomeration structures of the Republic of Tatarstan by forming a single Volga-Kama metropolis, uniting three agglomerations: Kazan, Almetyevsk and Kama.
