Cooperation of strong regions of Czech Republic and Russia

On August 2, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency hosted the delegation of South Moravian Region, the Czech Republic, headed by the Governor of the region Bohumil Šimek. Representatives of Administration, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of South Moravian Region and Czech companies also attended the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan as parts of the delegation.

 

The Head of the Agency Taliya Minullina demonstrated Unified presentation center and presented economic and investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan.

 

During the meeting, Taliya Minullina told about achievements and benefits for business in the republic, products produced in Tatarstan and opportunities for investors. For example, Czech companies are already working successfully in Tatarstan,  there is a direct flight Kazan-Prague, and Trade and Economic Representation of the Republic of Tatarstan is operating in the Czech Republic.

 

The Governor of South Moravian Region emphasized that perceives Tatarstan as the most developed region of the Russian Federation, just like South Moravia is considered the most developed region of the Czech Republic. "I am sure, such cooperation, such a link between the two strong regions will create the most advantageous conditions for further development in science, research and development", - Bohumil Šimek indicated and also noted that much can be learned from Tatarstan, especially in promotion of investment potential.

"We are interested in expanding cooperation with South Moravian Region in business development, creation of joint-enterprises, development and introduction of innovative technologies. We are ready to cooperate and will be happy to give an unfailing support to our Czech partners", - Taliya Minullina concluded the meeting.

Later, the meeting of the Czech delegation with Tatarstan's President Rustam Minnikhanov was held. The Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina also took part in the meeting. During the meeting, the outcome of the visit of Czech colleagues in Kazan was discussed, as well as the participation of Tatarstan delegation and specialized companies in the International Engineering Fair from October 9 to 13, 2017, in Brno (Czech Republic).

Before that, the delegation of South Moravian Region visited Tatarstan in August 2016.

In addition, in September 2014, a cooperation agreement between the South Moravian Region (the city of Brno) and the Republic of Tatarstan was signed.
