SEZ Alabuga is an economic locomotive of Tatarstan

Ceremonial event dedicated to the tenth anniversary since the establishment of Special economic zone was held at SEZ “Alabuga” on 5 July 2016.

Tatarstan’s President Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov, Mr.Mikhail Mishustin, the head of the Federal Tax Service, Ms. Taliya Minullina, the head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency participated in the anniversary event. Mayor of Moscow Mr.Sergei Sobyanin also came to congratulate with a jubilee date of economic zone’s activities.

Special economic zone “Alabuga” is one of the most successful Russian SEZs. 3M, Ford, Armstrong, Saint-Gobain, Air-Liquide, Rockwool and Interskol are among companies which decided to open manufacturing on its territory.

A meeting with the head of the Federal Tax Service, presentation of decade's results, Tatarstan governmental awarding to SEZ’s staff by the President, touring the factories of “Alabuga” were held in the framework of solemn events. Foundation of SEZ Alabuga’s two new companies-residents’ stone ceremony was also performed in the course of the event.

“Alabuga is the first economic zone in Europe leading in global rankings by the fDi and simultaneously an economic locomotive of Tatarstan, an important tool of economic development, - noted Taliya Minullina. “48 residents with total private investment volume of 153.7 bln. rubles are registered in it for today. I congratulate the management and effective team of SEZ Alabuga with decade from its establishment. We work friendly and closely on many projects and are delighted with the fact that the work is going up to schedule. I wish Alabuga to stay for the time being an incentive for Tatarstan development, center of investors attraction and engaging new technologies to Tatarstan».
