Tatarstan and UAE relationships are rising to a new level

Just in April Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina, as a part of Tatarstan delegation, headed by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in VI International Investment Forum (Annual Investment Meeting – AIM-2016) in Dubai, representing economic and investment potential of Tatarstan. And thus, one month after, a reciprocal visit by numerous delegation of high-ranking guests from United Arab Emirates took place including the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Russia Mr. Omar Saif Ghobash, Abdullah Al Saleh, the Deputy Minister of Economy of UAE and Dawood Al Shezawi, the President of Annual Dubai Exhibition. UAE representatives will come to Kazan from 19 to 21 of May for participating in the work of the VIII International economic forum “Russia – the Islamic World: KazanSummit – 2016”.

Meetings with representatives of Presidential Administration and Government, legislative bodies, large republican and federal business entities are planned in the course of the visit, besides participation in the Summit.

At the forum United Arab Emirates will present a stand of Dewa company (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority), which is a key supplier of electricity and water in Emirates. The number of employees of Arabic company is about 9675 representing 52 nationalities. Production capacity is 9656 MW and 1,8 mln. water cubic meters.

Taliya Minullina thinks relationships between Tatarstan and UAE can rise to a brand new level. “Today we have all the necessary prerequisites to say that Tatarstan-Emirates relations have a special, privileged character and there are all reasons for diversion to a new level of partnership,”- claimed the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.

Ms. Minullina noted that Arab Emirates is an important perspective partner for Tatarstan and relations are developing linearly in recent years. It is crucial not only to consolidate the progress, but also to increase an interaction in all fields – economy, investment, culture.

The main thing is that interest from political management of both sides is entering entirely new level. We make great efforts,” – she emphasized.
