AIM Congress: the aim is achieved
Today, the 9th Annual investment forum AIM 2019, dedicated to the theme «Mapping the Future of Foreign Direct Investment: Enriching World Economies through Digital Globalization» started its work in Dubai (UAE). The Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina takes part in the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
The forum is held under the patronage and personal participation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and is the leading one in the middle East.
At the opening ceremony Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Tatarstan always aims to be a leader in all directions in Russia and to be known throughout the world.
At the plenary session: «Global Leaders Debate: Shaping the Digital Future of Foreign Direct Investment» Rustam Minnikhanov represented Russia and highlighted that digital transformation and innovative transformation are one of the priority directions for development.
«I represent one of the developed industrial entities of Russia - the Republic of Tatarstan. As for information technologies - 4.0 technology - I must say, this is a priority project not only for Tatarstan, but also for our whole country», - Rustam Minnikhanov said, adding that digital economy is among 12 priority national projects and includes regulatory controls, digital technologies, personnel training, security, work with industrial and state sectors. Digitalization in Tatarstan is successfully implemented at such large enterprises as «KAMAZ», «Tatneft», Kazan helicopter plant. Industry 4.0, according to the President, will radically change the quality of life of the population.
The forum traditionally becomes a meeting platform for investors and initiators of investment projects from business and government. Taliya Minullina held a number of business meetings to expand the areas of cooperation and increase of trade turnover with the representatives of the government and business of the Arab Emirates, as well as other forum participants from different countries.
«The United Arab Emirates is an important partner of Tatarstan with which relations are developing rapidly. One of the most important indicators of the region's wealth is the investment climate. AIM is increasingly becoming a platform for international cooperation, exchange of experience, building prospects for mutual growth and, as a result - expanding cooperation with economically developed countries», - Taliya Minullina noted.
The work on strengthening cooperation of Tatarstani-Italian business-community was established by the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina together with the representative of Italian Trade Agency.
Prospects for joint projects, including the forum for the promotion of Tatarstan's investment potential, were built with the representatives of the Forbes rating agency.
Taliya Minullina held talks with the management of the international multi-profile corporation including 27 companies on implementation of joint projects in the sphere of construction, hotel business, trade, information technology and logistics, development of sport and entertainment industry.
Business relations are also built with representatives of the holding based in the Arab Emirates, the main activities of which are investment in companies and enterprises operating in the field of education, health care, as well as in the real estate sector.
Negotiations on expansion of cooperation spheres were held with the Chairman of the World Trade Center in Warsaw Jacques Tourel, and also with the Moscow Government Minister, Director of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of the Moscow City Government Sergey Cheremin.
Taliya Minullina represented economic activities of Tatarstan to the Chairman with 30 years of working experience in the field of management consulting and software development used in business management and told him about the enterprises of the republic for possible adoption of the company's developments in the projects implemented on the territory of the republic.
Summing up the results of the first day was also marked the summing up the results of 2018. Tatarstan Investment Development Agency was named the best investment promotion agency in the region of Central Asia, Caucasus and Russia and received award of the Annual Investment Meeting.
The forum will last until April 10. Traditionally, the AIM attracts more than 500 companies from more than 100 countries. Tatarstan's leading companies are also represented at the exhibition, revealing the investment potential of the region.
